#DeathofDemocracy

There is a twitter trend currently going on #DeathofDemocracy. How easily we are undermining the word “Democracy” here. The word which has a history so rich that no treasure would ever be able to buy it . Is it really the Democracy we signed up for? Is it the meaning of the democracy we thought about? Is it the democracy our forefather thought of? Is it the Democracy George Washington Died for? Almost millions have been killed through out the centuries just for the sake of the democracy and still we are using it as a piece of cake?

From the day our media channels are highlighting this very topic of the suicide of Sushant and all the melodrama followed by a possible election angle along with a massive drug cartel which we blindsided all these years, is the talk of the town or may be nation. At least it is the talk of the surrounding I am living in. Today people are comparing an actress with a revolutionary, point to be noted not an ordinary revolutionary I must say. Someone once said “Politics, Cinema and cricket are the three things Indian would die for.” And I am founding this very appropriate at this point of time atleast. We need to ask questions. Questions which matter. Questions which have potential to change the discourse. The propogation of information in our generation is as simple as the exchange of Oxygen and Carbon-di-oxide. We need to use that system for our good.

And at the last ask yourselves “Why Kangana or anything related to this matters so much?”
